Overview: Education Technology Programs
The New York State Education Department (NYSED), serves the needs of a learning community of 18.2 million people, of which 2.6 million are enrolled in primary and secondary schools. The Office of Curriculum and Instructional Support: Education Technology Programs is a part of NYSED's Regional School and Community Services within the Office of Elementary, Middle, Secondary and Continuing (EMSC).
The Office of Curriculum and Instructional Support is charged with the responsibility to coordinate and facilitate various educational programs and initiatives pertaining to technology integration with other NYSED offices as well as outside agencies for effective teaching and learning.
There are a number of educational programs designed to promote the use of technology for teaching and learning in school. General information is provided for a few of such programs administered by NYSED.
