forums in April and May 2008 concerning the ELA/ESL learning standards.
The majority of the sessions will be devoted to small group discussions
designed to elicit feedback on key issues.

Notice of Public Forums on
the New York State Learning Standards Initiative. As part of the Standards
review process, a series of public forums will be convened in April
and May throughout the State in order to provide the Regents and the
State Education Department a representative sampling of stakeholder
views. Teachers, school administrators, parents, higher education representatives,
and other groups are encouraged to participate. The time, date, and
location of the forums are included.
