2008 Forums and Dialogues
Statewide Comprehensive Plan for Mental Health Services
The Office of Mental Health in collaboration with the State Education Department and other state and local agencies will be holding public forums throughout the month of May to discuss the Children's Mental Health Plan. The focus of these public forums will be to build consensus and momentum for a final plan to improve children's emotional health and well-being throughout New York State. All school-community stakeholders interested and involved in the quality and effectiveness of social and emotional development and learning for children and their families are encouraged to attend.
Public Dialogue
There will be discussion with panel members composed of workgroup members and others involved in developing recommendations for the Children’s Mental Health Plan. The discussion may include topics relevant to children’s mental health, but we are asking you especially to concentrate on the recommendations. In particular, we are interested in hearing your thoughts on the following:
