Information on requesting August 2008 State examinations

Just a quick note to let you know that the examination request package has been sent to all schools

self-identified in our database as planning to request examinations for administration in August.

This package, also known as the "first mailing," includes your user ID and password along with

instructions on requesting the August examinations.

Because of the highly compressed nature of the summer school experience in general and

the testing preparation calendar in particular, it is very important that you navigate to the

online portal right away and enter your school's examination request within the next few days,

as we have published July 14 (next Monday) as the submission deadline.  Beyond that date, the

pressure on printing, packing, and shipping schedules becomes more and more difficult to manage.

If you are not the summer school principal, please forward this to the correct person in your

school or district with a reminder that the August testing cycle has begun.

Please do not respond to this e-mail address, as it is unmonitored.  For any questions you may

have about obtaining the August examinations, please contact the Operations Group at

examrequest@mail.nysed.gov. If your question pertains to username and/or password issues,

our colleagues in the Department's Office of Information Technology Services will get back

to you right away.
