The goals of Destination: Graduation are to:

• Learn more about high school dropouts, who they are and why they drop out.

• Build the capacity of schools and SED’s regional networks to address the dropout problem.

• Identify vulnerable students, including those with disabilities or who are incarcerated, to develop strategies to help them remain in school and graduate through alternative and traditional programming.

• Establish collaborative partnerships between the schools and the community.

• Develop and share effective practices in dropout prevention.

• Evaluate and document the initiative’s process and outcomes.
