VADIR - Violent and Disruptive Incident Reporting

Each school district is required to annually submit for each school building Violent and Disruptive Incident Reports (VADIR). Information on this page provides links to VADIR data reported by the schools. It also provides resource documents to help school staff complete the necessary forms. Forms used during VADIR site visits are also included.

Violent and Disruptive Incident Report (VADIR) Data

Violent and Disruptive Incident Reports for incidents that occurred during the 2008-09 school year are due to the New York State Education Department on September 30, 2009.  Data are to be reported via the BEDS Online Internet application.  Forms and other supportive materials such as Directions, Glossary of Terms, and Question and Answer documents can be located below or at the following web address:

On 6/20/06, the Board of Regents ("Regents") adopted amendments to the uniform violent or disruptive incident reporting system (8 NYCRR §100.2[gg]). The revised regulation becomes effective 7/13/06
