MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT PREVENTION COURSE
Point & Insurance Reduction Program

 

The SED has a Department of Motor Vehicle approved Point Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP) for school bus drivers completing the Basic Course of Instruction.

In order to receive points off their license and a percentage reduction off of personal automobile insurance, information concerning the driver course completion must be submitted to and processed by one of three approved agencies for SED:

Please contact these agencies directly to obtain forms (DS-960) to register drivers through them for PIRP benefits.  The price charged for this service is not fixed by New York State, so please check with the different providers for their pricing.
