Use of Superintendents' Conference
Days -
The Regents continued their discussion in July of a proposed
amendment to section 175.5 of the Commissioner's Regulations that
would permit districts to use up to two of four superintendents'
conference days for training and rating of the new grades 3-8
tests. Since the Regents June discussion, the proposed amendment
has been revised to include a sunset provision in two years. The
Regents asked staff to inform the field of their intent to approve
the proposed amendment in September. The proposed amendment is
available at the Regents website at
http://www.regents.nysed.gov under materials for the July
meeting.
