The Office of Public School Choice Programs is responsible for coordinating the review of charter school applications and proposed charters. This Office makes recommendations to the Board of Regents regarding the approval or denial of charter school applications and the approval or return of proposed charters. The Office also coordinates the monitoring of charter schools, administers the Charter Schools Planning and Implementation Grants Program, and provides technical assistance to charter schools.
