NOTICE TO DISTRICTS
REQUIRED TO DEVELOP
A LOCAL ASSISTANCE PLAN
Dear Superintendent,
Local school districts with any school buildings that have not met the current year’s Performance Index on any ELA or mathematics assessment is required under Section 100.2 (m) (6) of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education to develop a Local Assistance Plan.
The Local Assistance Plan must specify the actions the district will take to improve and raise student achievement in the identified buildings above the benchmark of 150 for the 2005-2006 school year. The district’s school board must approve the written plan by October 15, 2005 as required by law.
Please find below an outline of what information the Local Assistance Plan must contain. A copy of the completed LAP must be kept on file in the district office and made available to those requesting to view it.
