Improving Teacher Quality State Grants – ESEA/NCLB Title II A
New York State will receive a total of $227.5 million in NCLB Title II A allocations for FY 2008, of which $214 million (95%) is provided as formula funding for all LEAs according to the criteria specified in statute.
2008-09 LEA funds (Select Reports, your county, your LEA, and 2008-09 NCLB Allocation Report)
The remaining federal funds are provided for:
- Higher Education/LEA partnership grants ($5.6 million)
- Statewide activities ($5.6 million - currently supports Regional School Support Centers, the Virtual Learning System, and the Mathematics Resource Center); and
- State administration of the program ($2.27 million).
