Title V, Part A - Innovative Programs: the US Department of Education has requested that the State Education Department provide information regarding 2006-07 local educational agency activities funded by NCLB Title V, Part A-Innovative Programs. Please complete the very brief form and submit it to the Department by February 15, 2008.
Biennial Review of the District Plan for the Participation of Parents and Teachers in School-Based Planning and Shared Decision Making: This is a reminder that the deadline to complete the review process and report to the Department is MARCH 1, 2008. Regulations require all school districts and BOCES to biennially review their plans for the participation of parents and teachers in shared decision making, and report their review results to the Department. Education Achievement Program (REAP) - Small, Rural School Achievement (SRSA)
Program 2007-2008 Application Process. The U.S. Department of
Education (USDOE) has notified the New York State Education Department that the
application process for funding under the REAP-SRSA Program has begun. The
application process for SRSA is done electronically, via an e-application
process through USDOE.

Under Section 100.2(dd) of Commissioner's regulations, superintendents of
schools and district superintendents must annually certify to the Department
that their districts or BOCES have complied with their professional development
plans for the current school year and have professional development plans in
place for the upcoming school year. The statement of certification form, which
is due to the NYSED September 29, 2006, should be mailed to the
Office of Planning and Professional Development, Rm 464 EBA, Albany, NY 12234.
