This notice pertains to the scoring of Part B-2, questions 54 and 55 of the Spanish edition only of the Regents Examination in Physical Setting /Earth Science.
A Data Table accompanies questions 54 through 56. In the Spanish edition this Table lists “pizarra,” the Spanish word for “slate,” in the first box under “Nombre de la roca,” “Rock Name.” It should list “arcillosa,” the Spanish word for “shale.” Students who used the Spanish edition, either exclusively or in conjunction with the English edition, should be given credit for questions 54 and 55.
Please photocopy this notice and give a copy of it to each teacher scoring the Spanish edition of the examination.
