June 2005 Regents Examination Schedule

The June 2005 examination schedule was carefully constructed in an effort to minimize the number of instances in which a student might be expected to take two examinations required for a diploma on the same day.  In particular we have attempted to minimize such occurrences for students with disabilities, many of whom are allowed extended time for each test they take. 

 This schedule is the result of our analysis of the data reported from all schools on student participation during the June 2004 examination period. The first consideration was making the schedule as student-friendly as possible. Every attempt was also made to schedule those examinations with required essay responses early in the schedule in order to facilitate timely scoring.

 We will carefully review the effect of this schedule on students and schools and will consider further changes for 2006 and beyond, as needed.
