Some schools received inaccurate rulers as part of the set of Punch-Out Tools for the grade 4 mathematics test. Item 33 is the only item affected, because the other items requiring the use of a ruler allow for a margin of error when scoring the item.

All schools are directed not to score either Part A or Part B of Item 33. Papers that have already been scored do not need to be rescored; the scanning centers will program their scanners to ignore Item 33. The grade 4 mathematics conversion chart, which is due to be posted on this website on May 27, will reflect this adjustment in scoring .
