Late Applicant Procedures
If you are still interested in being considered for membership in the 2008 summer program, please ask your teacher to help you prepare a cassette tape or compact disc recording. Pick a solo selection or selections that best show(s) your capabilities. The solo should be at least two minutes in length and no more than ten minutes. Your teacher should send a copy of your NYSSMA (or County) Solo Evaluation Sheet OR a written numerical estimate of your sight-reading ability along with the recording.
You must also complete and submit an application form.
Tapes or CDs should be clearly marked with your name, instrument or voice part, and should list your musical selections by title. The tape/CD and written materials should be returned to our office as soon as possible so that an appropriate adjudicator may audition it.
