Comments: I have done several summer programs after NYSSSA and nothing compares to the setup of everybody having to live together and doing nothing but focusing on what we were there to do. In other programs its easy to get distracted

Comments: I can't emphasize enough that my attending NYSSSA made an enormous impact on my life. I always knew I wanted to dance, but NYSSSA really channeled my focus and opened my eyes to a possible career.

What I'm doing now: I just Graduated from Point Park College with my BA in dance. In the Fall I intend to go to graduate school for dance performance in London or Paris.

Comments: Summer School was a wonderful experience for me. I met some wonderful people that I hope to run into in the future and that I miss dearly. The teachers that I had were among the best I've had so far and will remain on that list forever I'm sure.

What I'm doing now: I am going into my senior year at the University @ Buffalo as a BFA Dance Major with a concentration in Performance. I am also a part of the dance company in residence at School call the Zodiaque Dance Company.

Comments: NYSSSA influenced me in ways so deep that I don't even have the words for how it did. I know that I would not feel that way I do right now about myself and the world of dance if it weren't for the NYSSSA school of dance and Carolyn Adams.

What I'm doing now:  A junior at Pace University, part-time career as a Licensed New York State Realtor.  So if any of you alumni are looking for a new home, emal me :-) Fall of 2002, I have received two internships.

Comments:  Love all you guys who were there with me the 3 years I attended NYSSSA!!!  I would like to thank Carolyn and Julie for giving me a chance to do what I love the most.  This program has really made a distinctive change in my life.

What I'm doing now: After graduating from UArts I moved back to my native NYC and have recently founded my own dance company, Elojes Dance Theater. We built a small studio in a loft space in Williamsburg Brooklyn where we create and choeograph for our upcomming season.

Comments: NYSSSA helped me refine my craft. It gave me the directive needed to succeed in a difficult profession by providing a wealth of knowledge, opportunities, & connections. Years later, many NYSSSA friends reappear in the NYC dance scene.
