What
I'm doing now: tourism major, making my way into
the event planning field. For the next 6 months I
will be in NYC for an internship/co-op at Columbia
University as the assistant manager to conference
housing.
Comments: Overall,
NYSSSA was a wonderful experience, even though I did
not end up in the art field. It allows kids to find
a harbor for their passion and let it develop and
grow, and see that their are plenty of people out
there who need the same thing they do.

What
I'm doing now: Currently, I am working for the
promotions department of a Boston-area radio station. For
the most part, we organize and attend station-related
concerts and events. It also gives me an excuse to run
around, throw stuff, and yell at the top of my lungs :)
Comments:
NYSSSA was great because it allowed me to gain a
better understanding of my own capabilities, as well as
gauge it against similar work being done by the other
kids. I met a lot of great people, and it's a time I often
look back on and smile "aww".

What I'm doing now: Currently,
I am working as a traveling pediatric nurse. I take
short-term 3 month assignments all over the country.
Soon I will go back to school to get my master's in
public administration.
Comments:
NYSSSA is a wonderful opportunity
that fosters both personal and artistic growth. It was one
of the best things I ever did. It helped me develop skills
that are useful even today. I still think about opening a
photo studio one day. |
