What I'm doing now: I am filling out a questionnaire. in addition, you will be thrilled to know that I am finishing up my art history degree at Brandeis University and preparing for a career in Graphic Design.

Comments: It was initially baffling, then inspiring to see kids playing for enjoyment. it was always like doing homework to me. thanks to you guys I saw that it was cool to practice, mang! and I still get vaklempt whenever I hear the largo and adagio... boo hoo!

What I'm doing now: I just graduated from Duke University and I am applying to law school.

Comments: NYSSSA allowed me to better understand myself both as a musician and as a person. It enabled me to break free of high school constraints, to expand my horizons toward future hopes and goals, and to attain those goals while establishing a meaning of self.

What I'm doing now: attending Crane School of Music as a junior in music education, getting ready to student teach in Fall 2002

Comments: Coming from a town of 700 people, I literally had no opportunities for pursuing orchestral music. SOS gave me the chance to play in a great orchestra, but more importantly I made wonderful friends who shared my love of music.

What I'm doing now: I currently attend the Eastman School of Music, where I study double bass performance.

What I'm doing now: I will be beginning law school. I would like to pursue a career in entertainment or international law.

What I'm doing now: I am a graduate student at Temple University, studying Violin Performance.

Comments: I met my current violin teacher, William dePasquale, at SOS. I loved the program so much that I am currently the Head Counselor of the Orchestral Studies program.

What I'm doing now: I'm a junior at Princeton University.

Comments: School of Orchestral Studies was a wonderful experience that gave musicians like myself an opportunity to play amazing music and learn from professional musicians that we would never have had the chance to meet otherwise.

What I'm doing now: I am a double major (Music Education and English Literature) at SUNY Potsdam and the Crane School of Music. This past May I graduated with my BA. I will complete my BM in Dec 2002 after I student teach.

Comments: The way I was completely immersed in music for four weeks of the summer allowed me to discover how much I loved music. Honestly, the two summers I spent at SOS completely changed my life.

What I'm doing now: I'm a 3rd year student in Northwestern's School of Music.

What I'm doing now: I will attend Boston University in the fall.

Comments: The friends I made I still keep in touch with. It is a wonderful program.

What I'm doing now: Teaching and loving it!!!

Additional Comments:  Attending Saratoga for three years was outstanding.  My musical skills multiplied & the camp prepared me for any future. I am bound to run into and catch up with fellow SOS alumni anywhere I go.

What I'm doing now: Music Ed. in college (U. of Delaware), teaching music, taking lessons, orchestra, etc. 

Additional Comments: I'll never forget the friends I made and our common love for music.

What I'm doing now: I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelors in  Performance and a Masters in Ed. I am teaching band and as always, playing horn.

What I'm doing now:  I went to SOS for several years. I kept in touch with many people for a long time, but with college and everything I have lost touch with  most people so feel free to drop a line. I attended Syracuse University, and now work in advertising in NYC.
