I have been going to NYSSSA for about 9 years. And
every year it gets better! I learned a lot from the
teachers, and it put me on a track, meaning I know what I
want to do for the rest of my life! |

What I'm doing now: Living in Boston, MA where I received my
undergrad degree in Political Science @ Suffolk University. Applying now
to Journalism schools around the Boston area, then hope to write ballet
& dance reviews.
Additional Comments: My experiences at NYSSSA made me realize
that I always wanted to keep ballet and the arts in my life.

What
I'm doing now: Attending
the University of Maryland School of Medicine. I
recently started
dancing again and am amazed that I can still do it! I'm not amazed
that I still love it.
Additional Comments: NYSSSA
was amazing. We had an incredible amount of exposure to
consummate professionals. I only wish I hadn't gone to SAB the summer
of 1996... As a doctor, I know I will be using the knowledge of
body mechanics that I gained through ballet.

What I'm doing now: I am on the 1st
National Tour of Mamma Mia! at the moment. Been working in musical
theater professionally since 1998 either on US tours, Euro. tours, or
on Broadway.
Additional Comments: I will never forget my time at NYSSSA. I
learned how great it was to be able to dance and have fun while doing
it. I'd love to get in touch with people that attended with me.
