Comments: It was fabulous! The
instructors/conductors were terrific. I wish I had known
about it before my junior year of HS. It was what made me
realize that I
can handle going away to college, balancing making
friends, having
fun, and getting work done.

What
I'm doing now: I LOVE MUSIC!!! I would NEVER trade it
for ANYTHING!!! The opportunity to make music is the
GREATEST GIFT EVER given to me by whatever MAGNIFICENT
POWERS that be in this universe.
Comments: It's a GREAT "test" for anyone
who has doubts about music. It's NOT an easy profession to
succeed in, but certainly MORE THAN WELL WORTH the REWARDS
if you can "stick it out". Some of my FONDEST
memories are from NYSSSA!

What I'm doing now: I
just finished up my Masters in Opera at University of
Maryland and am now working at Mannes School of Music
while auditioning for Opera Companies. I sing as a
soloist with Berkshire Opera, Connecticut Choral Society
and Brooklyn Grace Choral Society.
Comments: I was very
lucky to have been both a student in '94 and a counselor
in '97 and '98. It was the best opportunity a
young musician could have.
