It was a great self-esteem boost to be accepted, and

Comments:
I came from a very small school system. It allowed me
exposure to many aspects of art that I would not have had
the opportunity to explore. It really broadened
possibilities for me both in art and in my perspective on
life and future goals.

What I'm doing now: I
work at home making and designing my jewelry. I also
subcontract for another local jeweler (I make jewelry for
her). I also do custom work for people. Design & make
engagement rings, earrings, etc.
Comments:
Taking the summer program really helped to build my
portfolio for college. I really enjoyed the variety of
classes offered.

took time off of college and am now continuing to finish
college (my last year) at Parson's School of Design.
Comments:
The program was a great influence in every part of my
life. I continue to keep in touch with other people from
NYSSSA, and I hope that this program is still and will
continue to be available to NY state art students--- Any
possibility of a reunion?

What I'm doing now: Im graduating from Laguardia and I am on to a
four year school.
I enjoyed the "Nysssa experience" because I was able to
do what I
love: "make art" all day and be at peace. I met so many
