Comments:
I had a wonderful time, met some great students and
was exposed to new ideas artistically. It was a valuable
experience of being independent in a safe setting. I
enjoyed the sculpture class and continue to do sculpture
and painting in my leisure time.

Comments:
Prior to attending the program I was considering
career in criminal justice. Attending NYSSA helped me
solidify my decision to be an artist. I'd probably be
making more money in criminal justice but I know I
wouldn't have the level of satisfaction |

Comments:
Coming from an art-deprived town, NYSSSA gave me a
broader perspective. One of the teachers said something
I'll never forget: "After NYSSSA, you'll know if you
want to pursue art." He was right -- I discovered I
did want to be an artist -- it's who I am.
