What
I'm doing now: I do 3D
machinery design and supervise a design department. I am finishing my MBA degree. I
attended Pratt Institute School of Art & Design in 1980-82. I never really worked as
an artist. I have worked in the engineering field for 20 years.
Additional Comments: I had a great time and enjoyed the program immensely. I look back on it fondly as a
wonderful experience. I sure would like to get back in touch with Cheryl Rommell, of Rome,
NY.

What
I'm doing now: I am now a public school principal.
Comments: My experiences at NYSSSA gave me a
great boost in confidence and opportunites to learn about and use
materials and processes with expert teachers. This program is the
best of its kind, it led me to continue in the arts and in the field
of education.

What I'm doing now: Presently I am a Biology professor at Cornell University; did all of my training on the West coast (including more training in art) and have now
returned to New York State. I still do Art.
Comments: I think that the NYSSSA Visual Arts program played
a huge role in affirming the importance of art. It was a good experience being away from home and being surrounded by
professional artists. I think the professors teaching the classes were excellent.

What I'm doing now:
Artistically, I design perennial gardens, interior
decorating (stencilling), and design IRISH DANCE SOLO DRESSES as
my three artistic hobbies, not career related.
Comments: This experience was the first and
only time I had the opportunity to focus uninterrupted on visual
arts. I still remember Jim Ridlon, Fredonia and zinc-plate
etchings.
