Time Required
	The amount of time for each aspect of the learning experience:

• Planning
  About one week of planning to collect materials, arrange interviews, select craft projects, prepare materials, construct teacher-made materials. This may vary, depending on availability of resources.
  
  
• Implementation
  About two weeks of daily twenty - minute lessons as well as informal infusion, utilizing learning centers.
  
  
• Assessment
  The children's pictorial/written or dictated response made into a quilt to be shared and remembered when displayed is an assessment. The activity will take about forty-five minutes for children to draw the picture and dictate or write a sentence. The picture will then be shared with the class. The quilt takes about one half hour to assemble. The responses can be checked on the enclosed assessment rubric. This takes about one half hour for a class collection.
