Time Required
The amount of time for each aspect of the learning experience:

Planning Time

  • 30 minutes to pre-record a cooking show
  • 30 minutes to arrange a trip to the grocery store
  • 30 minutes for gathering materials and planning a schedule

Implementation Time

  • Day One: 1 hour (30 minutes in the classroom and 30 minutes with computer access.
  • Day Two: 1 hour (access to computer)
  • Day Three: 2 hours for a field trip to the grocery store
  • Day Four: 1 hour (access to computer)
  • Day Five: 1 hour (in the classroom)
  • Day Six: 1 hour (in the classroom)
  • Days Seven -Ten: This is determined by class size and the number of groups.

Total time = 11 hours over 7 to 10 days.

Assessment takes 10 minutes per student to complete the Rubric.

Plus class time for the Cooperative Learning Assessment.
