Planning Time: One and a half hours to prepare materials and lessons prior to each session.
Implementation: Each class worked with the visual artist once a week for 90-minute sessions held over ten weeks. Depending on computer and photocopy equipment available to students, additional time may be needed to type the text and print the books.
Assessment: Peer assessment is integrated into the classroom work. Teacher assessment using a rubric takes 15 minutes per student. Picture Book Rubric
