Education for Homeless Children and Youth ProgramInformation on Students Displaced as a Result of Hurricanes The following information provides guidance and assistance for students displaced as a result of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. Helping Children Rebound provides guidance to preschool teachers, to help them meet the emotional needs of children who have been affected by the 2005 hurricanes. The free guide helps preschool teachers and parents identify specific behaviors that may indicate emotional concerns and provides strategies to address them in the classroom. A similar guide addressing the needs of infants and toddlers is also available. Generous support was provided by the Exxon Mobil Corporation to pay for printing and nationwide distribution.
