Welcome to our new website for the New York State Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Programs. We have attempted to make this site user friendly for students, parents, school staff and interested people in the community. The website will serve to update you on the latest vital information regarding violence prevention strategies, will link you to a host of useful education and family-related resources, and will promote networking on a day-to-day basis. ASPIRA of New York, Inc. is the recipient of the New York State Department Extended School Day Violence Prevention grant. Our grantee network consists of community school districts, superintendence's, alternative schools and community based organizations funded by the State Education Department for Extended School Day/ School Violence Prevention Programs. Our goal, as Technical Assistance Center, is to provide our grantee network, youth, teachers, parents and administrators with information and resources concerning school violence prevention and school safety.
