ANNOUNCEMENT OF INFORMATIONAL SESSIONS:
NEW YORK STATE UNIVERSAL PREKINDERGARTEN PROGRAM
FIRST TIME APPLICANTS ONLY
The New York State Legislature has made an additional $50 million available for expansion of the state’s Universal Prekindergarten Program (UPK). As a result, 60 school districts are eligible to apply for UPK funding for the first time for 2006-2007. In addition, there are approximately 25 school districts that were eligible for a UPK base grant in 2005-2006 that have not yet applied and may wish to do so in 2006-2007.
