Title I School and Community Services
The Office of Title I School and Community Services administers federal initiatives intended to improve the academic achievement of students in New York State schools. This office is responsible for the implementation of several programs under the No Child Left Behind Act, which includes Title I, the largest federally funded program in the State, Title I, Part D Neglected or Delinquent Student program; Migrant Education; and the McKinney-Vento Homeless Student program. The Title I, Part A program includes federally required School Improvement, Supplemental Educational Services (SES), School Choice, Accountability and Parent Involvement.
