The Door provides supplemental educational services that are
tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Instructors work in consultation
with students classroom teachers, and use a variety of curricula and teaching
materials, in alignment with New York State learning standards in English language arts

Door instructional staff includes certified teachers,
Masters level social workers and counselors. Volunteer tutors are college students
and adult professional who are trained and supervised by Door staff. Trained staff also
provide specialized instruction for students with disabilities and with limited English
proficiency. |
