3 Evidence that services have been effective Pre and post-test scores of students who have received Door’s supplemental educational services show significant increases in grade levels in both mathematics and in English language arts (including reading).
4 Title of the instructional program, curriculum series to be used (if appropriate) The Door provides supplemental educational services that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Instructors work in consultation with student’s classroom teachers, and use a variety of curricula and teaching materials, in alignment with New York State learning standards in English language arts (including reading) and mathematics.

11 Qualifications of service provider(s)/instructor(s) Door instructional staff includes certified teachers, Master’s level social workers and counselors. Volunteer tutors are college students and adult professional who are trained and supervised by Door staff. Trained staff also provide specialized instruction for students with disabilities and with limited English proficiency.
