Evidence that services have been effective: |
Over 95% passage rate for the English Regents exams for Alternative
Education Students since 1998. The Adult Education Program has
achieved over an 80% success rate for students by raising their
achievement a half –grade level measured by TABE. |

Description of methods and strategies for serving eligible students
with disabilities: |
Special Education Certified Teachers will be hired to support the
learning of the special education students as needed or recommended in
an IEP. BOCES will collaborate with Special Education Teacher and LEA
supervisors to meet the recommendations and mandates of students’ IEP.
For students who have been unsuccessful with other reading programs or
have large gaps in decoding and or spelling abilities, Wilson program
could be provided to students by certified teachers.

Description of methods and strategies for serving eligible students
with limited English proficiency: |
Tutors will meet limited English student’s needs. The professional
judgment of the teachers and administrators of the LEA will help
decide the instruction for the students. Support and resources will
be used that will help children learn to read and write ultimately in
English. |
