Academics, Inc. offers a variety of instructional settings depending
on the program and clients’ individual needs. Typically the service
sessions have a ratio of 1 teacher to 2 students. However, one to one
instruction is available for an additional fee. Special programs (ex.
SAT prep, test prep workshops, summer programs, etc.) are offered in
small group settings, 8 to 12 students. |

Academics, Inc. provides instruction under the general supervision of
a NY State certified teacher. A+ Academics, Inc. is a
member of the Education Industry Association. (EIA) The EIA is a
professional network dedicated to the business of delivering and
advancing the education of children and youth. The owner of A+
Academics, Inc. holds a master’s degree in special education and is
a NY State certified teacher with a wide range of teaching experience. |

Reports to parents, teachers, and LEA
(Content, frequency, method of delivery): |
As part of the tutoring
program, A+ Academics, Inc. provides parents with a lesson
plan and feedback sheet for each service session. Information about
session goals, specific materials used, behavioral observations, such
as on task and cooperative behaviors and overall session success is
provided. In addition, parents have the opportunity to conference once
a month to discuss client progress and concerns. As part of this
monthly conference, the client’s teachers are contacted for
input/feedback. Reports are written and records are kept. The client’s
LEA would also receive this information to ensure alignment with LEA
goals. |
