BOCES staff members prepare transparencies or similar instructional materials for shared use by participating school districts or by non-public schools.
STANDARDS FOR APPROVAL

Compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the general guidelines, and the following specific standards is required: |

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS |
A program description is required. |

|
|
|
AID ISSUES |
Participating districts must participate in the Educational Communications Center or Library Services/Media "base service" if services under this activity are to be approved for aid. Materials which are not shared between two or more participating school districts, or which become the property of a school district are not eligible for BOCES aid. Such materials should be billed separately, preferably under revenue code 2655. |

AID ISSUES |
Equipment repairs provided by contract generally are not eligible for BOCES aid. However, aid may be approved where repair of a particular type of equipment requires specialized equipment or staff training, is infrequent, and is not related to a maintenance contract held by the district. Prior permission should be sought. Participating districts must participate in the Educational Communications Center or Library Services/Media "base service" if services under this activity are to be approved for aid. Compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the general guidelines, and the following specific standards is required: |

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS |
A program description, indicating the type of printing services provided, is required. Printing done by students in Occupational Education programs should be related to the educational outcomes and schedule of the classes in which the students are enrolled. |
