Both Federal and New York State Laws govern privacy issues regarding
Student and Staff data. In developing procedures and processes to
collect and report this data, it is necessary to incorporate safeguards to
protect the privacy of the individuals to whom the data pertain. The
National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)
