Release Notes for nySTART

Release Name: Data Verification Report - NYSTP ELA - Tested and Not Tested Students

New Features:

This is the second release of the nySTART application.

This release provides access to the second in a series of verification reports, "Data Verification Report - NYSTP ELA - Tested and Not Tested Students". The purpose of this report is to list the students whose repository records show that they should have taken a NYSTP grades 3-8 English language arts (ELA) assessment. Included in the report are detailed instructions and a link to a Statement of Certification.

Known Issues:

When using PDF from the main page, report links navigate to the login page.

In some rare cases, a couple of students changed schools within a district between the administration of ELA Grades 3, 4, 5 and ELA Grades 6, 7, 8. As a result, the student count for that school on the summary report is higher by 1 or 2 students than on the detail report. The 1 or 2 students that are being counted to this school actually appear in the detail report for the other school. The totals from detail reports are correct.

Logos are not viewable in Excel format.

Fixes: The following fixes have been implemented for "Data Verification Report - NYSTP ELA - Tested and Not Tested Students". The same fixes will be implemented in Data Verification Report – Enrollment and Demographics at a later date.

The Total Enrollment column summary value (e.g., summary totals at the bottom of the Summary Report), are no longer repeating multiple times when exporting to PDF and Excel.

When clicking on a Total Enrollment column summary value (e.g., summary totals at the bottom of the Summary Report), the Detail Report header now displays "All Schools" for school BEDS Code and School Name.

When a report (Summary and Detail) is exported to Excel, the date field is now in the correct format.

Logos are viewable on PDF reports

Headers in PDF reports have been reduced in size to facilitate printing
