STEP software converted for use with MS Access 2000 only

Always make a back-up copy of your data (STEP_100B.mdb or STEP_101.mdb) prior to updating your software.

Please note: This version of STEP is for MS Access 2000 users only.  It will not work with prior versions of MS Access.  In this version, both the front and back ends of STEP have been converted to MS Access 2000.

Directions for the download of this version and import of your existing data from prior versions are located below.

Suggested update procedure:

1.  Create a new working folder.
2.  Download version 1.043 (choose one of the three options in the software section below) into your new working folder (you will need both the new front and back ends of the database).  If you choose:

• the self-extracting executable, rename STEP_1043.bin to STEP_1043.exe and save it to your new working folder.
• the zip file, you will need a copy of the Winzip software to install STEP.
• the mdb's, you will need to download each piece of the database separately into the same folder.

3.  Open the 1043F database.  Please refer to the STEP manuals for information on using the software.
4.  Make a copy of your old back end (STEP_100B.mdb or STEP_101B.mdb) and place it in a separate folder.
5.  In STEP_1043F.mdb, log in as your district.
6.  Import the old back end using the STEP DB import option.

2. As a zip file:	STEP_1043.zip
3. As mdb(s):	User Interface Data Storage

Notes:

1. This file is posted as a "bin" file.  Don't forget to change the filename extension back to "exe" before saving the file.
