Status Verification

Verify Status by Documentation

GED document status may be verified ONLY by the issuance of a duplicate GED Diploma and / or Transcript. For information obtaining a duplicate copy of a GED Diploma / Transcript, please see: Request for a duplicate diploma / transcript.

Verify Status Over the Phone

While document verification is available in many cases by using the automated phone system, the best source for GED verification is by making a request for a duplicate diploma / transcript. Request for a duplicate diploma / transcript.

Information concerning candidate document status may be verified on the automated portion of the GED Hotline (518) 474-5906 if the candidate's Social Security number and date of birth are provided. This can be helpful when there is a need for immediate verification of document information. NO GED Test scores are ever given over the phone. Verification of documentation status through the GED Hotline is only valid for GED Tests administered during or after 1983.
