Voucher Information

Chief Examiners, Alternate Examiners, proctors and clerks are responsible for keeping track of their cumulative earnings to ensure that the amount does not exceed $5,000 for the fiscal year, which runs from April 1 through March 31. Once a test administration staff member has reached this amount, another individual must do further testing for the remainder of the year.

Examiners must also take into account the volume of accommodations testing administered at testing centers. Each accommodations test administration should be considered as a full test administration with examiners being paid at the regular examiner rate.

When testing "partial retesters", if a candidate retakes less that five subtests, this will be considered one half an administration. Please make a note of this on your vouchers when submitting them. (i.e. math only, retested all five tests, math and writing, etc. or the candidates name.) If you do not note this information, and there is only one tester for that session, the voucher will be held until the session has been scored and can be verified.

New examiners and proctors may be paid to attend up to two GED testing administrations as examiners/proctors in training. In these situations, Chief Examiners must provide a justification in the “Comments” section of the vouchers. The new Examiners in training will be paid as Alternate Chief Examiners for the two training sessions. Proctors in training will be paid at the proctor rate, provided the justification for the additional staff is documented upon submission of the vouchers for that administration.

ALL VOUCHERS MAY BE COPIED, BUT MUST HAVE AN ORIGINAL SIGNATURE. Please do not send vouchers in with testing materials to be scored, as this may cause a delay in processing.
