Should a hard copy by mailed? Do you require a copy of the recently
completed Audit?
Answer: The Application must be mailed to SED, Grants processing Unit, 674
EBA, 89 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12234. No emailed submissions will be
accepted. The mailed copy must contain all original signatures and the

If an applicant is planning in 2007-2008 and anticipating a
2008-2009 implementation should they just submit a budget for planning only
at this time?
Answer: This competitive process is for charter schools that are opened and
in the initial implementation phase. Charter schools that would like
planning funds for 07-08 and implementation funds when the school is ready
to open should apply for the New York State Charter School Program Planning
and Implementation grant that is posted on the
SED web site and is due April 30, 2007.
The RFP says that the due date for applications is Jan. 24, 2007. The web site announcement says the due date is Jan. 31, 2007. SED expects application to be submitted by 1/24/07 but they will be accepted until 1/31/07.
