2010 New York State Charter Schools Stimulus Fund Questions and Answers
- We have added 4 classrooms at our charter school. The construction project was completed in August. Would we be able to apply for the stimulus grant for this project?
No, projects must be completed during the project period date which is January 1, 2010 through June 30, 2010.
- The charter school applicant, authorized by the Board of Regents, leases
space in a facility. Is it eligible to receive a stimulus fund
grant to be applied toward both permanent and portable systems and/or
equipment to improve this facility?
The school is eligible to receive stimulus funds as long as, according to the RFP, costs are associated with the acquisition, renovation or construction of charter school facilities.
