ELECTRIC BOOSTER WATER HEATERS FOR DISHWASHERS (12/92)

The requirements for electric booster water heaters for dishwashers which appears in the Manual of Planning Standards are revised. Facilities Planning will no longer require an ASME certification and seal. The new requirement is that all electric booster water heaters shall be tested and labeled by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL1453, third Edition) and shall comply with requirements of The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) (standard #5). These requirements shall be so stated on plans or in specifications for such units.
