Subject: New York State Technology Framework
Development of an updated New York State technology plan began in December 2001. Representative committees consisting of administrators, teachers, higher education institutions, the State Education Department and parents worked for several months to collaboratively identify guiding principles and assumptions for current New York State technology needs. The resulting document, the New York State Technology Framework, is intended to be a guidance document for Statewide, district, and school technology planning, implementation and evaluation. The Technology Framework is aligned with the Regents Strategic Plan and the "Closing the Gap" strategy as well as with key policy expectations and requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). It is available at our web site at: http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/deputy/technology/tech-plan-2-03.html
