On November 18 I sent a letter to the principals of schools selected to participate in January Mathematics A field testing / score validation. The text of that letter is attached. We asked that schools respond by November 25. In order to allow all interested schools to participate, however, we will continue to accept responses through December 2.

Due to time constraints we were not able to copy the school superintendent on each school's invitation letter. However, we asked that District Superintendents contact each superintendent with an invited school in his/her district. We appreciate school officials’ support of this initiative, and ask that you continue to encourage selected schools to participate. Widespread support from schools will help us to make an even stronger State assessment program.
