Comprehensive Educational Plan Template for Upstate/Long Island
Schools: All school
districts and buildings identified as needing improvement, corrective
action, or restructuring, as well as those requiring academic progress
or under registration review, must complete a CEP and submit it to the
Department's Office of School & Community Services (Regional) within
90 days of being identified. For additional information and a

and Schools Requiring Academic Progress: Below are links to
the Department's press release and lists of SINI schools: Year 1 and Year 2;
and Schools Requiring Academic Progress: Year 1; Year 2; and Year 3, 4, 5.
Also, below is a list of Schools in Need of Improvement, 2004-2005, Causes for
Identification. Districts that have schools either added or dropped from
last year's list were notified earlier this week.

- Press Statement:
Schools Notified About Status "In Need of Improvement" under NCLB. The State Education Department has contacted school
districts that have schools that meet the identification criteria for schools in need of
improvement. Schools are being given an opportunity to verify their data. The
Department will make public the statewide list of schools on September 5.
