Supplemental Funds for the Universal Prekindergarten Program:
The State Legislature has made an additional $50 million
available for expansion of the State’s Universal Prekindergarten
Program. As a result, 60 school districts are eligible to apply for
funding for the first time for 2006-2007. To provide
technical assistance to these school districts as well as those that
were eligible in 2005-2006 but have not yet applied and may wish to do
so in 2006-2007, the Department will be conducting information
sessions in early May. For more information, including lists of
