Career and Technical Education Data:
The Department annually collects enrollment and follow-up
data about career and technical education programs through the Career
and Technical Education Data System. The data is used to determine the
condition of career and technical education throughout the State and is
also reported to the U.S. Department of Education as required under the
federal Carl D. Perkins Vocational-Technical Education Act. Data for
2006-2007 is due to the State Education Department by April 20, 2007.

Education Conferences: The Career and Technical Education
Resource Center, in conjunction with the Department, is sponsoring a series of
Regional CTE Conferences. The first conference will be held in Buffalo on
October 25, 2006. The full schedule of conferences, registration
information and agendas are available at

Secondary Career and Technical Education (CTE)
Data System, 2005-2006: The Department annually
collects enrollment and follow-up data about CTE programs to determine
the condition of CTE throughout the State and for federal reporting
purposes. All school districts and BOCES are required to submit
information by April 14, 2006. Information and report forms are

Disabilities: The Offices of Curriculum and Instructional Support and Vocational
and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID)
