The Trade and Technical (TTE) program prepares students with
employable skills to meet graduation requirements set forth in Part 100
of Commissioner’s Regulations. The program helps students develop manipulative skills, safety
judgments, trade ethics, leadership abilities, technical knowledge, and
obtain related occupational information. It prepares students for jobs in
semi-skilled or skilled trades, for employment in a variety of
semi-professional or technical occupations, and for further postsecondary
study.

| Automotive
Youth Educational Systems (AYES)
AYES is a collaborative effort of General Motors, Daimler
Chrysler, Toyota, Volkswagen/Audi and Mercedes-Benz, in concert with the
New York State Education Department, Board of Cooperative Educational
Services (BOCES), Local Education Agencies (LEA's), community colleges and
automotive dealerships, to match the State's automotive programs and
curriculum to meet national industry standards. In the AYES initiative,
students apply academic concepts in a hands-on, occupational program
with active involvement of industry partners. To be selected for the
AYES distinction, programs must be of the highest quality and must
consistently meet rigorous industry standards.
