Program
Description/Overview

The Trade and Technical (TTE) program prepares students with employable skills to meet graduation requirements set forth in Part 100 of Commissioner’s Regulations. The program helps students develop manipulative skills, safety judgments, trade ethics, leadership abilities, technical knowledge, and obtain related occupational information. It prepares students for jobs in semi-skilled or skilled trades, for employment in a variety of semi-professional or technical occupations, and for further postsecondary study.

Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES)

AYES is a collaborative effort of General Motors, Daimler Chrysler, Toyota, Volkswagen/Audi and Mercedes-Benz, in concert with the New York State Education Department, Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), Local Education Agencies (LEA's), community colleges and automotive dealerships, to match the State's automotive programs and curriculum to meet national industry standards. In the AYES initiative, students apply academic concepts in a hands-on, occupational program with active involvement of industry partners. To be selected for the AYES distinction, programs must be of the highest quality and must consistently meet rigorous industry standards.

GREATER NEW YORK AUTOMOBILE DEALERS RISE TO THE CHALLENGE - Members help high school students explore a career in automotive service and repair.

Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) reached a new high this summer when seventy-six interns trained at Greater New York Automobile Dealership franchises in New York City and Long Island. Fifty two other AYES automotive students went to dealership franchises in the Capital District and Buffalo area. [MS Word] and [HTML]
