Facilities Guidelines
The highly specialized nature of the Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum
requires that facilities be appropriately planned and supervised by a certified
Family and Consumer Sciences educator. This publication provides guidelines
to help those responsible for space and facilities to direct the planning
of safe learning environments that will support and promote the goals of
Career and Technical Education as well as the NYS Learning Standards, the
National Family & Consumer Science Standards, and the No Child Left
Behind initiative.
